Whew! So…we had a presidential election last week. So many emotions. So many words. So many accusations. So much anger. So much happiness. And Gen-Xers proved that we are tired of the crap. The fact is we are older, wiser, and not willing to be led blindly anymore. No more acting like the politics have no effect on us. No more acting like we can not change anything anyway so we do not get involved. It is time to own our mistakes and make things right. It is time to become the critical thinkers God called us to be. And like Allie Beth Stuckey says: politics matter cause policy matters, policy matters because people matter. Politics effects policy and policy effects people. So our presidential election was between Vice President Kamala Harris(D) and former President Donald Trump(R). Mr. Trump was elected as our next President. There were a lot factors that affected the outcome to this election. Let’s take a look at a few of these.

Abortion. As a Christian woman, I am completely against abortion. According to the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, the definition of abortion: the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus especially : the medical procedure of inducing expulsion of a human fetus to terminate a pregnancy. Now to put it in layman’s terms: the purposeful murder of a baby in the womb. In the Bible, God tells the Israelites not to murder in the Ten Commandments.(EXOD 20:13) When a life is purposely taken, it is murder. Abortion is murder. End of story. Now, if you do not believe or want to make excuses, then look at this critically. Every abortion is a medical procedure that creates scar tissue. And then that scar tissue can and will keep an embryo from attaching to the uterine wall. Then the day comes that you want to have a baby and are unable because of the scar tissue. So if a woman wants to preserve her best ability to bear children when she is ready, then do not have an abortion. The fact is, if you can not control yourself, there are birth control options to prevent conception up to 99% of the time. Abortion is NOT birth control. And if either parties will not be responsible adults to prevent pregnancy, then neither people should not be having sex. Abstinence is the best birth control method. It is 100% effective. A lot of argument about state abortion bans include miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy care. The Miriam-Webster’s dictionary defines a miscarriage as spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus before it is viable up to 28th weeks of gestation. Premature birth is defined as birth of a baby after 28 weeks gestation and less than 37 weeks. If a woman has an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage or premature birth, there will be care contrary to the misinformation that has been spread. Now states with abortion bans of any kind need to make sure all pregnancy related emergencies have very clear statues. I believe that is where a lot of confusion is coming from. And that is where we need to advocate on clearer statues to these laws. I had a complicated pregnancy and was induced at 35 weeks so I understand pregnancy emergencies. Pregnancy emergencies need and should be protected. Harris wanted to actually amend the U.S. Constitution to include abortion as a right under reproductive freedom. The country said no.

Lack of Transparency. The fact is Harris was not transparent about anything. Trump answered all questions asked of him and we knew where he stood. Harris would not answer any questions that were not scripted. We knew what policies Trump was running his campaign. Harris never actually told us what her policies were and basically copy and pasted President Biden’s policies and agendas. If we did hear about an actually policy from Harris, it was an extreme leftist policy. Trump had no problem doing interviews whether on TV or a podcast. Even JD Vance got in on the interviews. Harris would only do an interview or podcast when it would put her in a good light and pandered to her ego. Then came the Harris interview with Bret Baier on FOX. Boy howdy did the truth about Harris’s inability to answer actual questions and lack of transparency shine. It was actually quite sad. If you are going to be a leader, especially of a country, you have to be ready to answer questions; especially the hard ones. Harris proved that under pressure her head will explode and we get word salad.

Race Baiting. Name Calling. In the last couple of months before the election there was a lot of race baiting and name calling. I grew so weary of it all and so did the American people obviously. I can not understand how a party would think that calling supporters racist if those people do not vote for Harris OK. That is not how you rally supporters. From political leaders(Obama) to well known celebrities(Oprah), they actually told supporters at rallies that they are racist if they did not vote for Harris. I was completely floored when I actually watched and heard it. Talk about alienating your constituents! Then it came to calling other minorities racist. I think I rolled my eyes smooth out of my head. The name calling was out of control. Harris and other democrats called Trump Hitler and a fascist. Then Hillary Clinton called MAGA and Trump supporters Nazis. Maxine Waters went as far as calling Trump supporters domestic terrorists. Democrats actually called for violence against Republican and Trump supporters. I was beginning to think I was stuck in middle school!

Gender & LGBTQ+ Agendas. I believe in freedom to be who you want to be. If you want to be a dragon, then be a dragon. I will tell you that you are wrong but go ahead and be a dragon. You do you boo. We can still be friends. But do not push or expect me to accept what you think. I may give you my opinion or belief but I do not expect you to accept it. So do NOT expect me to accept your belief or opinion. Harris supports children who want to transgender themselves. Harris supports kids being removed from homes where the parents do not affirm the gender opposite of their sex. In other words, Harris and the democrats believe that is OK for a male to be a female and a female to be male. Harris supports men being in girls locker rooms and on girls sports teams. Also, Harris supports gender reassignment surgery to be paid for by tax payers. And then there are the pronouns. Then, on election day, the country said no to all these agendas, especially when it comes to kids. Leave the kids alone. Drag queens belong in clubs, not libraries and school. Parents should have their children removed from them if the parents do not affirm any gender other than the child’s sex. Gender and sex are the same. And there are only 2 genders, male and female.(GEN 1:27)

Middle Class. The actual working class has been completely crushed. And yet, Harris and her elite supporters tried to say that they understood about being middle class. Huh? Do not patronize the actual working middle class. The democratic party does not support working class families. The working class has yet to recover from the pandemic. The working class has dealt with crazy stupid inflation. The prices of groceries and housing have gone through the roof. Wages have stayed the same and families increased their debt by charging bills and food on credit cards. I keep hearing how inflation is down. Yet the sky high prices of everything created by high inflation has yet to go down. And for all those rich elected officials in D.C. who have claimed they grew up middle class or how they understand the working middle class’s plight, every last one of y’all have completely forgotten where you come from. And for those who were actually brought up upper middle class, almost high class, y’all definitely do not have a clue.

I could keep going on the reasons why Vice President Harris lost the election. There are certainly more details in the factors I mentioned above. Maybe I’ll discuss more details another time. We have a new Present who will take office in January. May God protect him and keep him safe.
