It is quite obvious that people are still delusional, bought and so sheltered in their high class world that they can not see the forest for the trees. The Democrats and all those on the left are crying and having melt downs once again about President Trump’s executive orders. Tariffs were officially implemented against Mexico and Canada. It a good thing God promised to not flood the earth again cause all this crying would create floods like nobody has seen since Noah’s time.
The tariffs were implemented because Mexico and Canada have yet to show any effort to control their own borders. And in turn, this is contributing to illegal aliens coming into America. And with them come illegal drugs including fentanyl, which has become a huge killer in the U.S. There is also a huge issue with sex trafficking in our country with people, especially children, being trafficked back and forth across our northern and southern borders. And then of course, there are the drug cartels and gangs crossing the border committing crimes and murdering our citizens. We have enough of our own crazy people committing crimes and killing each other. We have our own issues with gangs. We have our own problems with sex crimes and child predators. We are struggling with our own issues of prison overpopulation. WE DO NOT NEED OTHER COUNTRY’S PROBLEMS IN OUR COUNTRY. End of story.
The fact is, we as a country, need to take the bull by the horns and start producing our own products again. Each state and region in the U.S. can produce many different foods all year around. Farming and ranching needs to be cool again. Industry and production of products need to become relevant again as gainful employment. We have no business being so dependent on other countries for so many consumer goods AND medications. People need to go back to growing gardens again. If you truly want organic food without ingredients you cannot pronounce, then make it yourself with home grown food. If we were not so dependent on other countries for so many products, tariffs would not be that big of a deal. It is time for America to take care of itself .
I understand that trading with your neighbors and other countries are important. According to the U. S. Internal Trade in Goods and services, our trade deficit went up to 78.2 billion in November ’24. This means we are buying more products than the U.S. sells. Huge contributors are companies and corporations which have moved operations and production to countries where people will work for any wage no matter how small. As a first world country we must have livable wages. And by livable I mean having the ability to purchase a home or at least afford rent. We need to have the ability to pay our bills and buy groceries without charging charging them to credit cards. You know, the basics.
We as parents teach our kids about the importance of being independent and having the ability to take care of themselves. We teach our kids that when we need help providing basics due to things that happen beyond their control, it is ok to seek help. Sometimes, that help comes in the form of bartering. You have something a neighbor or community member needs and vice versa. So you go into negotiations and trade. This transaction may include money and it may not. Now, as a country, we definitely barter with money for goods and services. Basic economics 101. But why are we buying more goods than selling? Common sense says we have become too dependent on other countries for products and services that we can manufacture and do right here in the America. It is time for us as a country to be more dependent on ourselves. And it is time for corporate America to bring jobs back to the America. President Trump is working to make that happen. The elected officials in Congress who are upset and mad are going to loose income from lobbyist and under the table deals. And the people who are crying and mad are the people who depend on the government to take care of them. It is time to take care of ourselves.
