There are days that people on social media show just how dumb they really are. Opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one. But there are people who really need to think long and hard before putting an opinion in the ethos. The internet is forever. Ask these stupid politicians whose words are continually coming back to bite them in the behind.

Israel has passed a death penalty law for everyone accused of terroristic and war crimes. Now, the post I seen on X stated specifically that the death penalty law is for Palestinian detainees. The clip also shows Israel National Security Minister Ben Gvir calling it historic and saying “Soon we will count them one by one.” This clip was posted by the X account The Cradle which is a media group out of Lebanon. This post was in turn reposted and commented on by Ian Carroll, an influencer, who went on to say, and I quote, “Israel does not have the right to exist. They need to be immediately disarmed and dismantled” end quote. That is as bad as saying America should not exist. So once a again, words are selected to be taken out of context to fit a specific narrative.

Now I have seen a lot of posts against Israel and I will be the first person to tell you that I do not always agree with how the Israeli government runs its country. That does not mean I do not like Jews or Jewish people. So back off. But passing a law to give the ultimate punishment for terrorism and war crimes is a good thing. It is called protecting the sovereignty of your country. America has the same laws, although most of those punishments are commuted to life sentences by liberal judges and the taxpayers are now taking care of these terrorists. I think it is a good law for Israel. Israel has been attacked from all sides since it was given its sovereignty and though several countries have decided to leave Israel alone, there are still entirely too many enemies surrounding Israel and they need to protect their sovereignty as a nation. And for the record, I am for a nation protecting itself. And if that means imposing the death penalty on those who kill and and terrorize your country then so be it. America could use some lessons in that arena.

Now for those who say God is a God of love and peace, I say He is. But God is a God of vengeance against those who commit evil against His children. This is all over the Old Testament. And the ultimate battle against the Spirit of the Age is yet to come. That is in the book of Revelation. Now is the current nation of Israel God’s chosen people? I do not know. Orthodox Jews do not believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah and He was just a prophet. That leaves a lot of people, including Christians, saying that the Jews are no longer God’s chosen people. That is a theological argument for another day. But in 1948, the Jewish people were given a nation of their own by the British after the British defeated the Ottoman Empire in 1917. That is recorded fact and history. To say that Israel should not exist and be dismantled is evil and wrong. And honestly, we will not know Israel’s standing with God until Jesus’s return. Until then, Israel is a sovereign nation whose majority of the population is Jewish and the Islamic nations/people are trying to wipe out.

It is an age old story. And there are many things I do not have knowledge about when it comes to the current nation of Israel and probably will not on this side of heaven. But what I do know is we will all be held accountable for our actions and words when we stand before God. And I do not want to explain myself before God for saying things about Israel that should not be said. The Jewish people can not help what their government does. They are fellow human beings and should be treated as such. The Jewish people themselves just want to live in peace in a land that they believe God gave back to them.
