Election Truth

So, here in Texas, we are having early voting this week and then next Tuesday in a runoff for several positions in political representation for both the state and locally. I was not politically active when I was in my 20’s, 30’s or early 40’s. But for the past 10ish or so years, my eyes have been wide open and I cannot unsee what I have seen. Now, I am not into politics like podcasters I listen to or YouTube channels I watch. There is a lot that goes over my head and I’m listening with a completely blank look on my face. I own that. But there are certainly issues that effect me and my family and the world I will leave behind one day. Those issues are near and dear to me and I will more than likely give my thoughts on these issues in the future. So I work at making sure I vote for those who are aligned as closely as possible with my beliefs. That is why voting is so important. And that goes for which ever side of the aisle you are on. That is the political system in America. And yes, I will be the first person to tell you it has many flaws. But, warts and all, voting in the political system is still important and a constitutional right.

So I bring my voting up to make a point. Back in March during the actual primary and yesterday when I voted for the runoff,  I was asked for ID. I gave the election worker who was logging in voters my driver’s license, she scanned it in, gave me my number to give to the next election worker so I could get my paper ballot that will be cast once I am done making my choices on the voting machine. All I needed was my DL. That’s it. I did not need my birth certificate. I did not need my marriage license since I am married and I took my husband’s name. I did not need a passport. I did not need any additional information to prove who I am to vote. All I needed was my DL as that is my official picture ID. I am a US citizen. Because I am a US citizen I did not have any issues voting in this election with just my ID.

The SAVE Act will not change any of that. If you are a citizen or a naturalized citizen, you will not have any problem voting in an election with proper ID. No matter what is the color of your skin or if you are born a female or a married woman, you will not have any problem voting in an election. As long as you have an United States of America ID, you will not have any problem voting in an election. All the crap that the democrats, far-left and liberals, are crying about with the SAVE Act, is just that, crap. And the Republicans in the Senate and Senate Majority Leader John Thune are a bunch a spineless, weak RINOs who are betraying the US by not pushing and passing the SAVE Act to secure our elections from non-citizens and illegal aliens. The fact is, as a country, we must secure our elections. Our elections can be and have been manipulated. 2020 proved that. There is more to be said but that will be for another discussion.

So all ladies who are American citizens, at least 18 years of age, have a picture ID and are registered to vote, go vote. The 19th Amendment guarantees it! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
