Actually, it’s quite easy. You trust that this person whom you have committed your life to love and cherish will have your best interest at heart. You trust everything they tell you. You believe everything they tell you. Especially in the beginning. I mean, let’s face it, we are lead to believe a fairy tale will come true if we just believe. So we believe. And trust. And when cracks begin to show and pieces are being chipped away at that trust, you begin to question. And you decide to give that person another chance, and another, and another, and another. Then you begin to think maybe you are just being paranoid. Maybe. Maybe not. You just aren’t sure. This person made vows to honor and cherish and love you. There is no way this person could be involved in any behaviors that would break trust and those vows they made. There’s just no way. And then, your world crumbles to the ground.
